To use audio, login to the camera with Internet Explorer, goto “For Visitor Mode” then you will see a bunch of icons in the bottom left. Click on the icon with the headphones to enable audio.

So you can only hear audio with IE? I use Google Chrome and cannot get audio. I cannot get audio (and you mention a speaker as well on my indoor camera) to work and your manual doesn’t expand on these options. Please let me know what I need to do.
Thanks,
Spencer

I have tried connect foscam to webcamxp, but I didn’t work.
The webcamxp doesn’t have anything about foscam.
If somebody said it is working, please tell me how, thank you.

You indicate the software from H264WebCam
will work with the FI8908W camera. What camera do I
pick from their list? The FosCam isn’t listed there.
Thanks

Can someone tell me if the Survelance softare with QNAP NAS systems work with Foscam cameras? I just want to record 24/7 and review when required. Which camera do I chose as model in QNAP? There is a iphone app now called “ucampro” and it supports Foscam’s.
I have my cam working with it although I am not sure whether mine is the FI8908W or the FI8918W.. they both look the same.

will it work with the AverMedia 6240-16 DVR card. Their list of supported IP cameras does not list any Foscam cameras. So I wanted to check with you to see if you had any experience with the AverMedia hybrid DVR cards, before I order.

I am researching which wireless camera to buy. I always down load the manuals of any equipment, etc., that I am thinking of purchasing. However, your manuals and information is not in standard PDF formats that the rest of the world deals with. If your company only deals with RAR compressed file down loads it must not be up to date with the industry.
Do you have information available in ADOBE Acrobat format?
Thank you. I would recommend that you convert your manuals and information to the industry stand formats.

Use Security Monitor Pro – http://www.deskshare.com/video-surveillance-software.aspx. Works flawlessly with all the Foscam cameras.

There is a bit of a trick with the sound and camera. You MUST have a microphone plugged in and reconized by the Windows O/S for the sound to turn on and off. It is weird but that is what I found. (I Use Windows 7)

I found audio works while recording, but not while monitoring under IE. Is this what you are referring to Larry?
Or is this about the talk option? If you have a mic plugged in and recognized, then it will allow you to use the speaker with the talk buttons? Hitting the talk button doesn’t seem to work with built-in mic on my laptop.
