Important Message from Foscam Digital Technologies Regarding US Sales & Service

We, Foscam.US (aka Foscam Digital Technologies and now Amcrest Technologies), are an independent United States based distributor of "Foscam" branded products. We have been offering telephone support, US local warranty and building the Foscam brand in the US for the past 7 years. However, we are deeply saddened to report that, even after all of this, our overseas suppliers have decided to undercut us and supply to our major customers directly. For this reason, we have no choice but to suspend telephone support for all Foscam branded products. If you have purchased a Foscam camera directly from us or from one of our authorized retailers, technical support is still available via email at support@foscam.us.

For customers who have not purchased from us directly, we advise you to please contact Foscam Shenzhen or the distributor which you have purchased from. In the meantime, we have launched our own new brand of IP cameras called Amcrest, which has superior quality products and full telephone technical support 7 days per week. We hope you can support us in our new venture. For more information, please visit www.Amcrest.com.

I tried to record video, it shows it is being saved as a AVI, but when i go to that folder, its blank, nothing there as AVI.
But when i record another and click to save, it shows all the other recordings, but when I go to that folder, there is nothing there.

Please ADD your cameras IP Address and/or DDNS to the trusted sites of IE ("Internet Explorer").

The reason why this happens, is that without doing the above. It is a security violation for the standard camera interface that comes with the camera to gain access to a computers drives.

I did the ip address,

1. the address is a http://
but says it only works with https://
I tried both, neither does not work.

2. I tried the DDNS and it does not enter, cu2404.myfoscam.org
I tried to DDNS Service Settings, I get,
DDNS Status Errors in Network Communication

Please uncheck the checkbox where you are forced to only add https links to trusted sites. Once you do that, you WILL be able to also add http sites as well.

Please create a folder on the C: drive ("Or wherever Windows is on") call it CamRecordings.

Change the Path in the cameras configuration on where video recordings can be stored.

Some folders on Windows based systems are protected. So by creating a new folder to place your camera recordings in. This new folder should not be protected.

Note: You will still need to also add your IP Address and/or DDNS to your trusted sites in IE ("Internet Explorer").
