Beep on alarm

Postby wasatchcars » Tue Nov 13, 2012 12:40 pm

I am the proud new owner of a FI8910W.
I have it all set up to send pictures on alarm and that works fine. But I cant seem to get the beep on alarm feature to work?. When motion is detected it emails pictures (only 3 or 4 not 6) to my phone but never beeps?
What am I doing wrong?

Not sure what you mean "Your phone never beeps"?

Are you running the Standard Camera Interface that comes with the camera on your phone, to monitor alarms? If so, I am not sure that you will hear a beep unless you are using a IE ("Internet Explorer") based browser, that supports ActiveX, on that computer/device.

did you ever solve this problem? I too have a similiar issue where the camera would trigger a sound/motion alarm but will never beep. Would that mean a problem with the internal speaker?

Thanks.

I am having the same problem. I believe the camera itself should make a beeping noise when motion or sound is detected (the alarm is triggered). Mine does not make any sound at the camera.

Beep on alarm ? In the IP Cam tool alarm settings ?
I have that on my 18916's, when i tick that box the IP Cam tool generates the beeps,my pc is connected to my tv so the tv beeps.
The IP Cam tool has to be running and obviously my tv needs to be on.

There is no alarm sound "Beep" produced by the speakers of the FI8910W.

Running the standard camera interface, with alarms and alarm notifications, will produce a "Beep". On the system that is running the browser. But not from the cameras speakers.

Some camera models do support this ability for the cameras speakers to produce a "Beep" on alarms. For example the FI9821W. But not the FI8910W.
