Firmware: 11.15.2.17
Device embedded UI version: 2.4.9.14 (upgraded via website)
Sender: myname@gmx.com
receiver1: myotheremail@yahoo.com
smtp server: mail.gmx.com
smtp port: 587
Need authentication: (checked)
smtp user: myname@gmx.com
smtp password: mypassword
I submitted, then tested. Result was successful.
Thanks to everybody on the forum.

Re: EMAIL WORKS!!!!!!
I am struggling so much with these email settings. I have tried both AT&T and gmail. For both I put in the correct info, hit submit, then test and for both the test succeeds. I get emails for the test, I get emails when the IP address changes, I just do not get an motion detect emails.
I have setup the scheduler, no luck, I've deactivated the scheduler, no luck.
When I view the camera log it shows the motion detects, but the emails don't go through. Once in a great while, an email will get through, but most times not. So I'm wondering is it a setting on my router or DSL modem that might need to be adjusted? Thanks!

Re: EMAIL WORKS!!!!!!
I spent a couple hours researching and testing different combinations. This is what worked for me in setting up Yahoo mail:
Sender: Your Yahoo email address (you@yahoo.com)
Receiver 1-4: Receiver's email address
SMTP Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
SMTP Port: 25
Need Authorization: (checked)
SMTP User: you
SMTP Password: Your email password
Click submit and then click test.
Hope this helps all Yahoo users who come after me......

Re: EMAIL WORKS!!!!!!
I got it work with Yahoo mail too, but only the port is different w/ cwppwc, mail setting is
Sender : myname@yahoo.com
Reciever : whoever@whatever.com
SMTP server : smtp.mail.yahoo.com
SMTP port : 587
Need Auth : Yes
SMTP user : Myname
SMTP PW : YourEmailPassword
Everything are about the same, but only the port 25 isn't working with me, I tried 465 as well but not working, I guess different smtp server have different port for them.
BTW, I have been trying to find out how to work w/ gmail and hotmail for couple hours and still no luck, if anyone else found how to do it, please post it. Million thanks.

Re: EMAIL WORKS!!!!!!
I have tried everything for hotmail, but it just not working, but for yahoo.com email, port 587 is working for me, I don't know if that will work on other yahoo.com.xx email account, but the regular is working for me. Just FYI, did you press the submit button after you filled the information before you started testing it? Lot of ppls missed that procedure somehow.

INTERNET ACCESS
Everything works fine but my friends can not acces the camera web page from their computers. I, however have no ptoblem accesing it from home.
Can anybody help.
There are instructions in the came manual on how to do this (it talks about active x, firewall and port settings) but they are very technical and maybe sombody could explain that in a little more accesibel maner.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: EMAIL WORKS!!!!!!
you have to setup a port for your camera first in the setup page, under "basic network setting" page.
I can run you by step-by-step with Linksys router.
1) try to find out your camera's internal ip address, for example: 192.168.1.100
2) go to your camera setting page, click "basic network setting", port setting should be filled with 80, change it to something else, for example:8080, and submit it by clicking the submit button.
3) login the router, click "application & gaming" tab, under "single port forwarding" page, fill in 8080 inside the box under external and internal port.
4) under the same page, fill in your internal IP camera addresss follow the same line of filled internal and external port.
5) check the "Enable" box. and save the setting.
It should be look like: [8080] [8080] [Both] [192.168.1.100] [V]
6) Go to www.myipaddress.com and find out your home IP address, For example : 88.190.222.121
7) ask your friend to try and login your camera by the IP address you found from www.myipaddress.com and port number set before, the format should be like: YourHomeIPAddress:Port#. For example: http://88.190.222.121:8080
Hope this help for your request.
