FI8904W White Video Problem?

Every few days the video output from my FI8904W goes completely white during the day time. The first couple times it happened I did a software reset and all was well again for a couple days.

I went away last weekend and the video output was all white again when I returned. However I did notice that a couple motion events were triggered the two previous nights (nothing during the day). I did not do a soft reset as I previously did, and noticed that that night the video output was working again. Apparently the camera is stuck in night mode.

Is this a known problem or is it just my camera? Work around? Fix? Replace?

Its a bug in the firmware with auto-brightness lots of people have this problem with these cams.

So, can I conclude that there is currently no fix and returning the camera I have for a different camera of the same model will make no difference?

Correct, returning the camera will make no difference. Although my suggestion would be to return it and buy a different brand :o ! vivotek,panasonic,axis,sony,mobotix,etc

When this happens, select "outdoor" in LIVE VIEW, and then "reboot device" in DEVICE MANAGEMENT. That works for me!

Glad it works for you, that's not a fix but a very poor work around, gets old doing it several times a day.
If Foscam fixed the firmware we would not have to do this period.
