The ("Infinite-Zoom") feature on this interface can be used vs. actually increasing the actual camera resolution, this reduces bandwidth used/required by both your local network as well as your ISP.

An ("Internal FPS 'Frames Per Second' Rate") is a feature of this interface, the internal FPS rate provided by this interface can be lowered with no cause and effect to the actual FPS rate being used by the camera, in other interfaces, email, FTP alarms as well as any recordings or video streaming done via any other interfaces, you may use. So this interface maybe better for monitoring, especially, if you are going to be monitoring at multiple places at the same time.

Try These Live Demos Using Both Vistor and Operator User Id's to See How This Works for Different Camera User Id Levels:

Internet Explore browser users can simply refresh the page in the browser window, to change login Id from visitor to operator and operator to visitor, when using the "Manual Logon Demo" link from Internet Explorer.

Firefox browser users, will need to close the Firefox browser and go back to the "Manual Logon Demo" link to change your logon id from visitor to operator and operator to visitor, when using the "Manual Logon Demo" link.

Chrome browser users, currently, cannnot use the "Manual Logon Demo" link, due to a current Chrome issue. So Chrome users currently, will need to use the "Automatic Logon Demo" links.

All browsers including Chrome, can also use the "Automatic Logon Demos".

The current version only displays FPS ("Frames Per Second") rates and Bytes per Second rates when using an IE ("Internet Explorer") 32 or 64 bit browser. This is because other browsers have no easy method of getting fileSize for the images.

Automatic Logon with Side-By-Side Different User Level Live Demo:

The left pane is an example of what a Vistor User Level would see. The center pane is an example of what a Operator User Level would see ("Using default configuration values, You can disable ANY Operator controls"). The right pane is an example of what an Admin User Level would see.

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewMulitDemoColum.htm

Manual Logon Demo:

Visitor User Id: visitor
password: no password leave empty

Operator User Id: operator
password: no password leave empty

Automatic Logon Demo:

Start the "Automatic Logon" as a camera Operator by Clicking Here: http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoOperator.htm

Note: Each Operator function, can be disabled, by configuration options, that you choose NOT to allow.

Start the "Automatic Logon" as a camera Visitor by Clicking Here: http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoVisitor.htm

All Admin's will see all Controls. This allows you to determine what Operator User Level Id's can and cannot do.

Admin Level User Id's can see and always use all controls, when logged in as an Admin User Level Id.

Non-Functional Admin Demo That Has Auto-Logon Enabled:

Which you should NEVER do in real life and instead configure the Interface to prompt for User Id and Password. When using the Interface for Admin access.

Go To the "Display Multiple Cameras Embedded in a Web Page" Live Demo by Clicking Here

Note: These Live Demos are all using the same code, they are all simply using different configuration settings, for each copy of this interface above.

Download A copy now to set your own configuration options for as many copies as you need.

This interface has a 1 Line Mandatory Configuration Change;

var IPandPort="CameraIPAddress:Port";

The above needs to be your camera Local IP Address or ISP IP Address or DDNS and the Port Number assigned to your camera, without any leading http://.

Note: If you want to only use this from your Local Network, use your Local IP address and Port Number. If you have setup your camera for remote access and wish to use this remotely, you can use your ISP IP address and Port Number or a DDNS IP address and Port Number.

All Other Configuration Options are Optional.

Ready To Use In Seconds.

DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE COPY HERE!

Zip File:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/GenericBIV31.zip

Or you can download the .htm version here, by right clicking the link below and choosing "Save As". You can then edit it and save the changes, say using notepad, and rename it to yourchoiceofname.htm and create as many copies as you wish, using the same or different cameras, and different configuration options:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/GenericBIV31.htm

The current version, automatically removes camera movement controls for "Vistor" User Id's, Infinite Zoom, works for ALL User Id's.

Yes this interface can be used to embed 1 or multiple cameras in a web page. More here:

http://foscam.us/forum/free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-ip-mjpeg-cameras-t2522-80.html#p14589

How much bandwidth is my camera using?

There is now also a special version of this interface, that shows how many Bytes in a 30 day period, your camera would use if it was being viewed 24/7 for that entire 30 day period of time, by 1 person.

This special version of this interface, also has a Live Demo, which can been seen here, as well as additional information, on how this special version of this interface works:

http://foscam.us/forum/free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-mjpeg-ptz-cameras-t2522-10.html#p11577

There are many plans for enhancements.

NEW - Admin functions have now been added as well as being able to access ALL your cameras, with 1 click, by using the Multi-Device lists in your cameras.

There is also now a version of this interface for H.264 Cameras. More here:

http://foscam.us/forum/free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-h-264-cameras-t2686.html

Please see my signature, in this post below, for links to other free Interfaces, that work with other Foscam IP Camera models.

The single camera live demos, have a 5 minute per login time limit, the multiple camera live demos have a 2 minute per logon time limit, they then will come back to this thread.

If needed you can re-try the same demo link again or try another live demo link.

The 2 and 5 minute per login limit and the .05, 5 FPS and 10 FPS ("Frames Per Second") rates for the live multiple camera demos and the single camera live demos, respectively, as well as the 160*120 resolution are being used to conserve live demonstration bandwidth, for both the multiple live cameras and single live camera demos.

This interface supports up to 30 FPS and 320*240 as well as 640*480 resolutions. Which are based on your selected configuration options.

You can have many copies of this interface, with different configuration options, for the same and/or different cameras.

Here is a link back to the live demo links: http://foscam.us/forum/topic2522.html

If you want something that ALWAYS works, no matter what browser; or cell phone - try:

http://foscam.us/forum/fi8918w-html-control-view-any-browser-phones-too-free-t521.html

It's written in VERY simple basic HTML - nothing fancy, no scripts, no active-X, no possibility of virus or malware. You can (once configured) move it to ANY device that supports an internet browser - not a single report of it failing to work anywhere or in any environment.

For starters, this version passes HTML and CSS validation:

Passed Validation for: Image Image

Note: I did need to copy your .txt file and rename it to .htm, because you have no link to the file as .htm or .html, which is a requirement to attempt HTML validation.

Your version fails HTML validation, without modifications, because the basic HTML is bad, NOT because it has not been modified.

Your version fails HTML validation with ("Seven Errors"):

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/FOSCAM_FI8918W_CONTROL_V5.htm

edelske wrote:If you want something that ALWAYS works, no matter what browser; or cell phone

As is shown, above, your version NEVER works correctly, no matter what browser; or cell phone.

The purpose of both HTML and CSS validation is:

"To show your readers that you've taken the care to create an interoperable Web page"

That, said...

1. Your version does not work with Internet Explorer to display video and never has.

IMHO, bad design.

This version supports ALL Browsers including Internet Explorer ("Without ANY Activex") and always has.

This version supports all mobile phones, other internet devices and computers and always has.

2. Your version requires a hard coded Camera User Id and Camera Password for all and anyone to see, always, in 74 different places, in your version.

This version supports ALL User Levels, Visitor, Operator and Admin, properly.

Your version supports Admin ONLY! Properly, without multiple errors.

IMHO, very bad design.

This version does not have any requirement to have ANY User Id or Password in the HTML. As in anywhere!

In fact, the very same HTML for this version, can be used by ALL User Levels. Visitor, Operator and Admin, for the same camera.

3. Your version will try and fail to execute many things that only an Operator or Admin level camera user can do, when a "Hard Coded" Operator or Vistor User Id and password is used, in 74 different places, 74 times!

IMHO, very bad design.

This version will never do that.

This version will NEVER present a camera control that the currently logged on camera user, could never be allowed to use.

Also Again. This version does not have any requirement to have ANY User Id or Password in the HTML. As in anywhere!

4. This version, has NO ActiveX. Never has.

5. This version is HTML anyone can see anything in it. It has no virus or malware, which is easy to see. Your version is HTML as well.

6. This version does not require it be moved onto a device/computer.

This version works from a link/attachment on a blog or email and can reside on a server and web site as well as any device or computer.

7. This has many options, including infinite-zoom as welll as different internal FPS rates, even different by User Id Level.

Your version, does not support these features.

8. This version requires a 1 line change, other config options are optional.

Your version, requires ("74") lines to be changed, again all your lines have Hard Coded, camera User Id's and Camera Passwords in 74 different places, for everyone to see and view.

IMHO, very bad design.

Again. This version does not have any requirement to have ANY User Id or Password in the HTML. AS in anywhere!

9. Your version, requires an Admin User Id, for all controls in your version to work and NOT fail.

There is NO way for anyone to determine by looking at your version, which controls will fail when they are attempted to be used, by different camera level User Id's Operator and Visitor.

Unless your version is ONLY for Admin level User Id's?

IMHO, very bad design.

10. Your version can't even show what the current values are for a camera. Because all it is is links!

This version can and does this.

11. Your version does not support displaying and/or controlling, multiple cameras at the same time, this version does.

12. IMHO, your version, is nothing more, than a collection of links and has no logic of ANY kind. Even with the limited scope your version has, it cannot pass HTML validation, as it is today.

Please compare the HTML between your version and this version, the differences are plain, simple and easy to see:

This version HTML: http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/GenericBIV15.txt

Your version HTML: http://kenneth-a-edelstein.com/FOSCAM_FI8918W_CONTROL_V5.TXT

12. This has 7 different live demos, you don't even have any kind of demo, let alone 1 live demo.

This version has 8 different Live Demos:

Click here for 5 Live Demos: http://foscam.us/forum/free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-mjpeg-ptz-cameras-t2522.html#p10970

Click here for 2 more Live Demos:

Click here for 1 more Live Demo:

http://foscam.us/forum/free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-mjpeg-ptz-cameras-t2522-10.html#p11577

5+2+1 = 8

Your Demos:

Zero emulated demos. Also, Zero Live Demos, that don't require any download/setup to try.

Thanks again, for Spamming/Trashing this newly created thread, with your unsolicited Adverstisement, Scare Tactics and Unfounded Insinuations.

I can only suggest, that you spend less time on advertising and more time on fixing your HTML, so that at some point, your version, can pass HTML validation.

Display Multiple Cameras At The Same Time - Live Demos - Using This Interface

Note: This will work for both the MJPEG and H.264 versions of this Interface. These Multiple Camera Live Demos are using a MJPEG camera.

Many people have more than one camera. Some think this interface will only work, with one camera at a time, this is NOT true.

Here are two examples ("Using the Same Camera") using a 160*120 default resolution and 1 frame every 2 seconds to minimize bandwidth for Live Demo purposes, to show you how easy it is to create multiple copies of this interface and display as many cameras as you wish, at the same time. Unlike the Live Demo, showing the same camera three times.

Depending on what kind of device you are using, a phone or a computer, you may wish to display multiple cameras, side by side, or stacked one on top of another.

You can set the sizes to be anything you wish, and display any number of cameras, at the same time. From ANY Internet Capable Device or Computer that has a Browser, from any Browser.

You could also use a Vistor User Level Id, with no controls shown, for any camera as well, or any combination, including restricted controls, only allowed by you.

The FPS rate has been set to 1 frame every 2 seconds, because I have no idea how many people will be using this at the same time, lol.

The Live Demo, is also using the same camera, but they can of course all be different cameras.

Note: Please expand the Demo Brower window once it opens to be as large as possible, for the Side-By-Side Live Demo below. That's how I sized it for my Live Demo Size, which of course you can change.

You can change the size ("Allocate less/more of the page to any given camera") of any of the cameras being displayed on the page, by draging, with your mouse/finger for touch screens, the "Grey" line between the cameras, in the direction of your choice, for each camera on the page.

The sizes I am using might not be perfect, of course you can set your own default sizes.

Note: The Demo camera, does not support IR Off/On, but that function does work with Foscam PTZ and Non-PTZ cameras, that do support this feature.

Live Demo of Three Cameras Side-by-Side as an Operator User Id:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/MulitDemoColum.htm

Live Demo of Three Cameras Stacked as an Operator User Id:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/MulitDemoRow.htm

For details on how to get this interface for FREE for your camera(s) and to also see other Live Camera Demos for this interface, please go here:

http://foscam.us/forum/free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-mjpeg-ptz-cameras-t2522.html#p10970

How was this done?

This interface allows you to have copies of it, as many as you wish, for a camera, or as many as you wish for multiple cameras.

There is no ("Magic") here, what is being done is HTML Frameset is being used for these Multiple Camera Demos.

The Side-By-Side Demo is using this HTML to display three cameras:

Code: Select all
<HTML>
<frameset cols="34%,34%,*">
<frame SRC="http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoOperatorFrames.htm" />
<frame SRC="http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoOperatorFrames.htm" />
<frame SRC="http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoOperatorFrames.htm" />
</frameset>
</HTML>

The frameset cols= is allocating 34 percent of the first camera on the page ("Going from left to right"), 34 percent to the second camera, and allocating the rest of the page to the third camera. Since 100 percent / 3 is not a round number.

You can add more cameras, and then split the page size between them.

In the case of 4, you would use "25%,25%,25%,*"
In the case of 2, you would use "50%,*"

In both cases, you would add/delete one of the SRC lines and use the interface HTML you have for each camera.

The Stacked Demo is using this HTML to display three cameras:

Code: Select all
<HTML>
<frameset rows="60,60,60">
<frame SRC="http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoOperatorFrames.htm" />
<frame SRC="http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoOperatorFrames.htm" />
<frame SRC="http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/NewWorkingDemoOperatorFrames.htm" />
</frameset>
</HTML>

In this case we are allocating rows, which I set at 60 for each camera ("Going from top to bottom"), but they could be larger or smaller.

So, all you need to do is create a .html file and copy 1 of these into it, point to your copy of this interface you wish to use for each camera, and now you can view and control, depending on if you setup the camera Interface for Visitor or Operator, from any internet capable computer or device, including phones, tablets and iPads. As many cameras as you wish, at the same time.

Enjoy!

This interface suppports all MJPEG Foscam models.

A new version of this interface has been developed that also supports the H.264 Foscam cameras models, more here:

http://foscam.us/forum/free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-h-264-cameras-t2686.html

This Interface and the new interface allows you to monitor and/or control multiple cameras side-by-side and top-to-bottom ("For phones") as this interface does today for Foscam MJPEG cameras.

This interface, allows you to also have any mix of MJPEG and H.264 Foscam cameras being displayed.

To try the Live Demos for this MJPEG camera interface and also get more detail on this free Foscam Interface, please see this:

http://foscam.us/forum/topic2522.html

To try the Live Demos for this H.264 camera interface and also get more detail on the free Foscam interface, please see this:
