Hi, New App "Foscam Pro" Two way audio and vid recording
Re: Hi, New App "Foscam Pro" Two way audio and vid recording
Maybe I cannot find it, but is there a function to turn on/off the alarm on the camera?

Re: Hi, New App "Foscam Pro" Two way audio and vid recording
I'm having trouble using a dyndns webhop with this app. If I configure the app with my standard dyndns address (mycam.dyndns.com, port 8100) it works just fine. If I try to use a webhop (cam1.dyndns.com) that points to mycam.dyndns.com:8100, it doesn't connect.
I have this working on an app for my Android phone, so I know it works, so I'm hoping I just have something in this app misconfigured.
Thanks!

No word yet. Still working on the update. Have you tried tightening your antenna/changing the angle?

Hi. Please contact me through the in-app e-mail link. From the main screen, tap the info button ("i"). Then tap "contact support". Please send me your setup details there.
Do you mind if I ask why there is a necessity to hop between two dynamic DNS addresses? Just curious.
I'm guessing that it is an HTTP redirect? Other apps use HTTP connections. Foscam Pro uses TCP socket connections.

Webhops are great for things like this: I have 7 cameras and one dydnds address. Instead of remembering which port goes to what camera, the dnydns webhop (available from dyndns) lets me do this - webcam1.dyndns.com, webcam2.dyndns.com, etc. Each webhop is configured to forward to the original dyndns address + the port for that webcam. On the Android apps, I can use the webhop and port 80 in the URL block, which connects to the correct camera.

Great app so far!
Glad you are liking it. I will add the preset snaps and sets, just may take a while... I want to do it right... I don't want to just slap together something. If you have any ideas on how you would like it to operate, please let me know. I just want everything to be as simple as possible.
Hello,
I'm wondering if the pan/tilt presets have been implemented yet.
Many thanks!

I see why you would use that now.... sort of. Wouldn't it be easier to just remember port for your 7 cameras such as port 10001,10002,10003...10007? So you don't have to type as much?
I'll try doing the webhops here and see what is failing.

It is in the update I'm almost finished with now. Was planning to have it done sooner, but feature creep got the best of me. If Apple were faster approving updates I would do a bunch of little updates... but if I add something new, I have to wait for the last update to get approved before I submit a new one or I go back to the front of the line.
This update was supposed to be tiny, but I think you will appreciate the added capabilities when this is finally on the app store.
The update will include presets, camera motion detection, increased timeouts... and a couple of good surprises. I'm trying to add to the capabilities of your Foscam, not just implement the existing capabilities.
