Important Message from Foscam Digital Technologies Regarding US Sales & Service

We, Foscam.US (aka Foscam Digital Technologies and now Amcrest Technologies), are an independent United States based distributor of "Foscam" branded products. We have been offering telephone support, US local warranty and building the Foscam brand in the US for the past 7 years. However, we are deeply saddened to report that, even after all of this, our overseas suppliers have decided to undercut us and supply to our major customers directly. For this reason, we have no choice but to suspend telephone support for all Foscam branded products. If you have purchased a Foscam camera directly from us or from one of our authorized retailers, technical support is still available via email at support@foscam.us.

For customers who have not purchased from us directly, we advise you to please contact Foscam Shenzhen or the distributor which you have purchased from. In the meantime, we have launched our own new brand of IP cameras called Amcrest, which has superior quality products and full telephone technical support 7 days per week. We hope you can support us in our new venture. For more information, please visit www.Amcrest.com.

Does the Kindle Fire offer a Foscam app? If so, would someone please upload a demonstration video to YouTube? Thank you.

Both FREE and PRO versions of tinyCam Monitor are available for Kindle Fire. They should work perfectly with Foscam cams.
tinyCam Monitor - mobile surveillance for Android, Android TV/Fire TV, BB10 with full Foscam cameras support.
Baby Monitor for IP Camera - keep an eye on your babies using Foscam cameras for iPhone, iPad.

Kindle Fire App

Postby Kapu » Mon Feb 27, 2012 4:22 am

Confirmed: The Kindle Fire can access three FI8918Ws with an app called IP Cam Viewer. I installed a new camera and got a new Kindle Fire and everything works as advertised. Keep in mind that the Kindle has neither a camera nor mic but will process audio, albeit softly. The only software which works effectively for sound is VLC 1.1.12 (Mac), but the quality of which the Foscam FI8918W offers has always been poor irrespective of how good one's software is. The relative positions of my 3 cameras are 30 feet with four walls separating them connected via a Linksys E3000 router in a separate building an additional 30 feet away. Surprisingly, everything works well and I am surrounded by multi-unit apartment complexes with a great many WiFi signals. Admittedly, I didn't think my setup would work as well as it does.

Accoutrements: Mac Mini 2.5GHz i5 2011, Lion 10.7.2, Foscam FI8918W (x3), System firmware 11.22.2.38, UI firmware 2.4.18.17, Linksys E3000 Router.

Confirmed also for the FI8910W. IP Cam Viewer, paid version, works very well with the Kindle Fire and the Foscam FI8910W. :ugeek:
