Also is there a summary of what the options are if they are not "updated" to include the fix? Is there an option to do it at home with a homemade usb cable etc? Please send me those instructions so i can see what is involved. Does that void warranty? Please reply asap.

Thanks,

Could someone share the details of this fix (or the page number of the thread that has them) so I can determine if I could do it?

Please PM me the "fix" for the 8910. I am worried like the 2 poster above me about the issue but for the price on Ebay via Andorama worth the risk. I welcome the challenge

Thanks!

Please PM me the fix for the 8910. I just ordered one from the Adorama/ebay deal, and I want to fix it as soon as I receive it. I hope there is no soldering involved!

Don,

As with a few others I am considering the 8910 as a baby monitor. Could you PM me as well (I don't see a PM option on my end and I gather from other posts that this feature is disabled on new accounts).

Also is anyone aware if this or a related issue exists on the HD cams such as the 9821W V2? I've heard of a feedback issue on that unit when the camera feed is viewed.

This issue is confined to MJPEG based cameras.

I contacted the seller about this. It seems that I can not return the camera. I want to fix it myself. But the most difficult part is creating a data cable. Where can I buy a usb data cable to 7 pin plug?
