Important Message from Foscam Digital Technologies Regarding US Sales & Service

We, Foscam.US (aka Foscam Digital Technologies and now Amcrest Technologies), are an independent United States based distributor of "Foscam" branded products. We have been offering telephone support, US local warranty and building the Foscam brand in the US for the past 7 years. However, we are deeply saddened to report that, even after all of this, our overseas suppliers have decided to undercut us and supply to our major customers directly. For this reason, we have no choice but to suspend telephone support for all Foscam branded products. If you have purchased a Foscam camera directly from us or from one of our authorized retailers, technical support is still available via email at support@foscam.us.

For customers who have not purchased from us directly, we advise you to please contact Foscam Shenzhen or the distributor which you have purchased from. In the meantime, we have launched our own new brand of IP cameras called Amcrest, which has superior quality products and full telephone technical support 7 days per week. We hope you can support us in our new venture. For more information, please visit www.Amcrest.com.

Any IP Camera owner can optionally easily get and use All my Foscam IP Camera examples bundled together with one hour of one-on-one support to implement them. Save Time! Click Here!

If you wish to simply display your Foscam IP Cameras without the need to actually move and control the camera. Please see this:

http://foscam.us/forum/post43654.html#p43654

If you operate or have access to a website. You can use more secure methods for this:

post42139.html#p42139

This Free Interface works with the following Foscam Camera Models:

FI9804&5E&W/FI9818W/FI9821W (V1&V2)
FI9826W/FI9828W/FI9831W/FosBaby

If you don't already have a website or a web server to host things like this or to store your IP Cameras Snapshot images and/or videos via FTP. All the examples here are hosted by DigitalOcean which I have found to have great prices and support. No domain name is required and you get your own unique IP Address and it's your Web Server, NOT shared!

Note: Check the U.S. Based CDT Timestamp on each image below. If the Demo IP Camera is offline ("Timestamp on image is very old") you will not be able to view the camera in real-time if you click on that IP Cameras image shown below.

It's Free! Works with ALL Operating Systems. Works with ALL Internet browser capable devices. Computers, tablets, phones and TVs. Works with ALL Browsers. There are time limits with the Live Demos. There are no time limits when you download your free copy of this Interface. Also works on websites and webpages.

Compatible with ANY Internet Browser Capable Device

Works on ANY Operating System and in ANY Browser

Is this tool missing from your cameras toolbox? Why? It's FREE!

You can try this Interface using the link below, with your own cameras without first needing to download and customize your own copy first, as you should do for long term use:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/cam ... I9821W.htm

Note: If you see a blank page after using the above. Try again. Make sure you have the latest firmware for your camera as the above states, check that the information you entered was correct. If you are using the above with a remote access address. Please make sure that both your camera and any media ports, used in some camera models, not all, are open and properly port forwarded, using the links supplied in the above Live Demo using your cameras.

Please note this is version 1.0 and changes will be made in the future. But wanted to get the first release out ASAP.

You must use a valid User Id and Password for your FI9821W IP Camera for this Interface to work. Please NEVER use an Admin Level User Id and Password for the User Id and Password for this Interface.

The Interface supports Infinite zoom, which is an internal Interface feature. It does not modify your cameras configuration or increase bandwidth from your cameras, in anyway. To disable infinite zoom, simply set the infinite zoom percentage value to zero. Both Visitor and Operator User Level Ids can use the infinite zoom feature, if it's enabled.

The Interface also supports a selectable internal FPS ("Frames Per Second") rate as well as a default FPS rate. You can disable the selectable FPS rate using the Interface configuration options and simply use a pre-defined default FPS rate, that cannot be changed. This Internal FPS rate does not modify your cameras configuration, in any way.

The Interface also supports displaying the current FPS rate and BPS ("Bytes Per Second") rates, BPS rates will only display when using a IE ("Internet Explorer") based browser. These statistics can also be disabled using the Interfaces configuration options.

If you wish to use this Interface with NO PTZ ("Pan/Tilt/Zoom") controls you can create a Visitor User Level Id and Password for your FI9821W(V1&V2)/FI9801W/FI9802W IP Camera and using the configuration options for this Interface disable PTZ controls.

If you wish to use this Interface and allow PTZ controls. You should create an Operator User Level Id and Password for your FI9821W(V1&V2)/FI9801W/FI9802W/FI9805W IP Camera and use it with this Interface.

The Interface has many configuration options. It can also be used or embedded in web pages on a web site as well. With one or many different IP Cameras on the same web page with or without PTZ controls on a per IP Camera basis. Including other Foscam IP Camera models, on the same web page.

Live Demos of embedding multiple cameras in web pages:

free-generic-browser-interface-for-foscam-fi9821w-cameras-t4341-30.html#p21020

Note: The above also allows you to use one camera and have multiple views at the same moment in time, from the same camera, using this free Interface.

Please note this demo camera is inverted ("Mounted Upside Down") on a ceiling in Houston, TX. The Interface has a configuration option for flipped cameras when using camera PTZ controls. The Interface configured option default FPS ("Frames Per Second") rate is 1 FPS, for the Live Demos.

Most of the Live Demos here are using a 640 width resolution as a Interface configuration setting. You can configure the resolution using the Interface configuration options or use the cameras default resolution, which is very large (1280x720).

Here is an example of using the cameras default resolution. So that you can see why a 640 width resolution configuration option was used, for most of the Live Demos here:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/Generic21VI0DefaultResolution.htm

If you set your preferred resolution width using the Interface configuration options to be smaller then the cameras default resolution. The aspect ratio between width and height is maintained automatically, as to not skew the images.

Camera controls maybe slow because the demo camera maybe being used by many people at the same moment in time.

Example of Using a Operator User Level Id That Allows PTZ Controls.

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/Generic21VI0OperatorDemo.htm

Example of Using a Visitor User Level Id That Has No PTZ Controls:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/Generic21VI0VisitorDemo.htm

Example of a 160 Pixel width resolution for small screen phones. Again, you can customize the resolution to your needs for any devices you may need:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/Generic21VI0160Resolution.htm

All the above Live Demos are using the same free Interface, simply with different Interface configuration options.

Please feel free to try any of these live demos from ANY Internet browser capable device that is running on any Operating System and using any browser. You can create multiple copies of this Interface that are configured for specific devices and/or different configuration options as well.

DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE COPY HERE!

You can download the .htm version here, by right clicking the link below and choosing "Save As". You can then edit it and save the changes, say using wordpad, and rename it to yourchoiceofname.htm and create as many copies as you wish, using the same or different cameras, and different configuration options:

http://www.saveontelephonebills.com/camera/Generic21V20.htm

The only configuration options that require changes to use the Interface are:

Examples:

For Remote Access
Code: Select all
var IPandPort = "xxxxxx.myfoscam.org:94";
var user = "operator";
var pwd  = "operator";

For Local Access Only
Code: Select all
var IPandPort = "192.168.1.114:94";
var user = "operator";
var pwd  = "operator";

The above values are the only required changes. All other values can be left at default values and/or changed later.

Once you customize your version(s) of this free Interface for your cameras, you can even email yourself copies of it as an email attachment, so that you can have access to the Interface anywhere you are.

This way, anytime you need to access the Interface all you need to do is go to your email from any Internet browser capable device and you have access to the Interface, at all times. You could then store the Interface on the device(s) in question, if needed.

Of course you could also save the Interface to web sites and social media sites as well.

Great for private, controlled or public access to your cameras.

Please see my signature, in this post below, for links to other free Interfaces, that work with other Foscam IP Camera models.

By the way Don, the demo is actually located in Houston, TX. Mounted upside down on a ceiling of course ;)

Could possibly be slow since we have a few demos running on the same network, but when I tested it seemed fine, so no worries.

The end-goals of the Interface are:

1. That it can be used from any Internet browser capable device, from Computers to Tablets, to Phones and TVs running on any Operating System that is using any browser without any need for any kind of plugins or additional software ever required to be installed on a device.

2. That it can be used in web pages and websites and support any visitors device. Which includes supporting multiple cameras on the same web page if needed. Which could include other Foscam camera models other than only FI9821W cameras, including MJPEG or H.264 camera models, on the same web page.

3. The ability to throttle bandwidth use based on using a default and/or fixed internal FPS ("Frames Per Second") rate while not actually modifying anything internally in the cameras configuration. While also supporting dynamic FPS rate selection as well, if needed and allowed based on Interface configuration settings.

4. That there is no maximum concurrent connection limit. That otherwise would be encountered using other methods and Interfaces.

5. Not requiring a formal logon, so that you can quickly and directly access the camera privately or allow controlled or public access using the User Level Ids of your choice. Which by changing the password for those User Ids or deleting those User Ids can be disabled at anytime.

6. Specifying a default image size that works/fits the screen sizes of devices of your choice if needed. Since you can have multiple copies of the Interface, you could create copies for specific devices.

7. Having an ability to infinitely zoom based on the percentage of your choice, without actually changing the cameras video/image settings. This feature can also be disabled using the Interfaces configuration options.

8. The ability to properly use controls for inverted cameras ("Cameras that are mounted upside down") which the current camera firmware does not support ("Meaning. The normal camera controls when using the standard camera interface work for inverted camera, but work backwards/inverted for cameras that are mounted upside down").
