FI8918W network lamp

Postby el_ratson » Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:03 am

sorry if this has been asked before:

I have a new FI8918w - connected via ethernet, not wireless.

I want to disable the network lights. I have firmware 11.22.2.38, Web UI Version 2.4.18.17. If i go into Admin > Basic Network Settings and UNTICK the network lamp option, i still see the ethernet activity lights upon submit and reboot. If i leave it TICKED, i see the same results - lights flickering after submit, reboot.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Just uncheck the 'network lamp' under 'basic network setting'.
And submit, the camera reboot,it will work.
Pls try again.
If your camera does not do this, pls reset the camera and try again.
For resetting the camera, there is a reset button on the bottom, use a small round pin to press the reset button for 35 seconds until the camera restarts of course keep the ac adapter plugged in while you do it.

which light is flickering?
Network lamp is the green light above the red light.
Pls confirm this.

Ah i mightve thought Network Lamp was the network lights by the network adapter (green and orange lights indicating network traffic through network card/ethernet cable). Any way to disable them via the software?
