IP Camera Super Client - 1.0.1.285

Postby yettitracker » Tue Nov 08, 2011 8:02 am

I've been running this software for sometime now. Up to 9 cams running (FI8904 and FI8908) with 4 or 5 recording 24/7. Some cams are in France some in England all via Draytek routers, opposites sites via vpn. For some reason, this software has decided to 'drop out' and vanish requiring a restart of the software. System XP Pro. I suspect that it might be one of the updates, as this has happened on 2 machines running the same OS. 2000 Pro never used to do it, so I'm in the process of rebuilding a dedicated 2000 machine just for this. Anyone have any ideas what might cause this. Does anyone know when a new version of Super Client will be out.

Re: IP Camera Super Client Version Updates

Postby IP-Cam » Tue Feb 21, 2012 9:12 pm

I have modified several versions of the "IP Camera Super-Client" to enable it to work with multiply Camera Versions with this nice little piece of Software.

Here are the links to the different 'enhanced' versions of the IP Camera Super-Client. It's possible that one program does not work entirely with your Cam's, the other one may will, so, you better download all progs and try them out.

Windows will ask you to allow installation of an unsigned 'active-x' plugin, please allow this in order to make the client work.

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_526.zip

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_525.zip

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_497.zip

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_457.zip

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_299.zip

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_261.zip

No installation is required, just unzip and copy them to a directory and create a Desktop-link to the "SuperIPCam.exe" file. You may install several versions on the same PC, they are of no harm against each other, even when running.

Below two files may also be needed for some versions to make all of it working. At least, according to some uninstall file information found, they are added by some of the progs to the 'c:\windows\system32\' subsection. I have no idea for what reason, anyway...

If you have any problems with any part of the program, take the 3 files from the 'MGMFile_znullrender' Folder (included in the zip-file) and copy them into

c:\windows\system32\

lpng.dll
MGMFile.dll
znullrender.ax

---

The DevFind.exe, enclosed in some Zip's, will not find all different "series" IP-Cams in your Network, so, it's possibly of no real use. I left it in the Software because it belongs there. Also, Progs like 'Backup.exe', 'Watchdog.exe' & 'ZPlayer.exe' e.t.c., are untested at all.

To uninstall, just delete the Program-Folder and use a reliable registry cleaner program to get the rest out of your PC Registry.

I have invested a lot of time to make my 'IP Camera Super-Client' Software capable to work with multiple "series" of IP-Cameras, having, at times, 20+ different OEM Versions installed on my PC. Since I like the Program so much,I am glad if my Information helps others also.

If you already use an existing IP Camera Super-Client, you may just replace the existing 'DevType.dat' File with one of the 'DevType.dat' files enclosed in one of the downloaded Versions. Also add some subfolders, i.E. 911/912/918, if not already existing in your Directory. Then start your Client and look how it works.

Good Luck and best regards from Switzerland.

Note: Unregistered 'IP Camera Super-Client' Versions usually function for ONE hour before beeing required to be restarted again in order to work.

The above 2xx.zip- Versions probably require no registration to work, also, they work very well, but they usually have no audio function.

Really nice software and it found and added my 05's and 18's (7 total) with no trouble. However, I can't find information on how to register the software. Thanks 8-)

With a little Help of my Friends...

Postby IP-Cam » Tue May 15, 2012 7:53 pm

Download one of the older Versions like

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_299.zip
http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_261.zip

both zip-files contain updated 'series' devType.dat files, they have not to be installed.

Or install it and add the modified 'devType.dat' files taken out from one of the zip-files above:

http://www.ip-cam.li/SuperIPCam_261.exe
http://www.ip-cam.li/SuperIPCam_276.exe
http://www.ip-cam.li/SuperIPCam_299.exe
they don't require a registration

---

or download the two files below :

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_427.zip
http://www.ip-cam.li/sn.txt

to have a fully working program.

Or install it and add the modified 'devType.dat' files taken out from one of the zip-files above:

http://www.ip-cam.li/SuperIPCam_427.exe

---

or try the brandnew:

http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_527.zip
http://www.ip-cam.li/IP_Camera_Super_Client_529.zip

I have not found any 'registration button', so I guess they have not to be registered at all. Try em and see...

I already updated the 'devType.dat' files to enable different series camera types to work with them.

The lates two versions seem to have some slight problems with certain Cameras, so, if not everything works with your Cam, there is nothing you can do...

Good Luck

@IP-Cam: I've tried using IP Camera Super Client, it has the same issue I'm having with standard Foscam product (look here: ip-camera-client-t2233.html) .

Basically this is "the" question for you: is there a way to tell IP camera super client to use a http proxy when accessing my cameras over internet? My work uses it , so I have no direct access to the net.

thank you

Re: IP Camera Super Client - 1.0.1.285

Postby IP-Cam » Wed May 30, 2012 1:58 pm

Just to round up the story, I have found another FREE version:

http://www.ip-cam.li/SuperIPCam_545.exe

It seems to be the latest version, also available to Cam OEM suppliers, wich can order software with individual 'built-in' Corporate Images. Those versions still require registration. The one linked above DOES NOT require registration!

I have testes 3 different 'f-series' - brands, wich are not quite compatible, but all could be installed. Exept for my olf 'v-series' Vilar Cam, the client did not recognise it, despite of a built-in v-type conf-block. I guess, there is a new -v-series specification, probably some similar joke as with the 'q-series' and ''h1-series', wich are a similar mess...

Onby the link to my enhanced DevType.dat file, wich contains all so far found 'series' configurations. Just back up the existing and put the new one into the program directory. I have not tested anything else but f / q / v-serie cams, so some spec's possibly don't work.

http://www.ip-cam.li/DevType.zip

Another Detail:
Similar 'F-Series' Cameras from different OEM-Suppliers may not function because of some OEM-entries in the oemopt.dat file of the Client program. The reason for this a 8-letter number, decoded usually 4 digits like 1208 or so, identifying the OEM, disallows reception of competitor cams.

I have added some lines below. 'C628FB=CFE4' is always the same, check the line below this entry like
-
Example: DC631F2C62C094=9BAE8558
-
Remove all after the 'DC631F2C62C094=' or take one of the below noted numbers, if you have such problems at your side, you can possibly solve them.

---

So much for now. Good Luck

Does this software work with the 8910W camera? I have 4 of them and the software finds them, but I can't do anything with them. If I try to do anything I see a message that this camera is not supported.

Thanks for any help
