This camera is a really neat way to extend your home monitoring without breaking the bank. It works well as a standalone solution or with monitoring software, and it is really nice that all the functionality can be accessed on the web page hosted by the device. The instructions for set up are not well translated, and it took me too many attempts to figure out that I needed to wait an additional 30 seconds for the camera to join an encrypted wireless network. Another reviewer mentioned receiving the wrong product, which I did not experience (seller was SA for me). (Posted on 7/4/11)

Not my first Foscam. I already have a FI8918W and a FI8908W and I bought this one because I needed a stationary camera that performed reasonably well in low light situations. The IR lights are good enough for the area I need to cover, its lights are stronger than my Asante Voyager I. I'm not sure if I like how the IR lights come on automatically and how I can't turn them off (like how the FI8908W does).
I Like the picture quality is on par with the other Foscams I have (There is a tiny bit longer delay in transmiting the image over my other Foscams) I have the video working fine, now I just need to figure out the audio. The volume is very low on my desktop computers, strangely the audio is louder on my android phone. And I haven't gotten the mic to work yet. (Posted on 7/4/11)

I bought 4 of these to monitor a farm for a friend of ours. They all work fine in temperatures from 20-90 Degrees F, and dusty dirty conditions.

The software runs in internet explorer as an active-x so the cameras be used with standard web-cam type software. Well I couldn't figure out how anyway.
Using IE just adds to the memory load and reduces the reliability of the system. Also the Active-X and Internet explorer combination gets to be a real CPU hog when running 4 cameras with motion detect on, so use a decent PC if that is your plan. The software has a bunch of features, but also is buggy sometimes, which is one more reason I would love to use stand alone web-cam software.... (Posted on 7/4/11)

I can to listen from mi pc good but when i talk through PC to Camera in the camera i hear just noise.
